SaltCritters LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of service at any time without prior notice. For this reason, we encourage you to review these Terms of service whenever you purchase products from us or use our website.

Please leave a note with your order if you would like your order shipped on a specific day. Please allow at least 1 day for shipping when requesting a shipping day. Please note that we can't hold orders for more than 7 days.

We don't ship livestock for Friday or Saturday delivery as it's to risky.

We only ship within the Continental United States. We can't ship to PR, HI, or AK.
We also can't ship to PO boxes.

Fulfillment issues:

In the rare event that an item happens to be oversold or damaged we will refund you for that item. If you would like to be contacted first so you can choose a replacement item please let us know in the order notes and we will contact you before shipping if this happens (please note that this may delay shipping until the next available shipping day we have open). We try to ship out orders so they arrive the day requested since many customers miss work to receive their order. That is why we refund oversold or damaged items vs waiting for a reply and delaying the order.

We can't apply coupons or gift cards to orders already placed. Please be sure that the coupon or gift card that you are trying to use has been applied to your order before you check out. If you have any questions about a coupon or gift card that you are trying to use please contact us via the chat button, at the bottom right of the screen, before placing the order.

If your order hasn't shipped we can usually add to it. If you want to add to your order just go ahead and place another order and put a note with the order. We will refund the extra shipping charge once we process the order. Add on orders do not count towards any free shipping offers.

Any address correction charges we receive from UPS/Fedex will be charged to the customer. UPS/Fedex charge us around $21 for address correction so please make sure your address is correct. If your package is refused or returned for any reason you will be charged the actual shipping charges for both trips. If your livestock order is refused or returned you will also be charged for any items that don't survive the trip as well.

 

All livestock comes with a 5 day Guarantee!

To ensure the health of the animals and fairness to all customers, the following requirements must be met:

1. Acclimation: You must follow our provided acclimation instructions exactly.

2. Pickup & Delivery: If your order is shipped to a UPS/FedEx hold location, the package must be picked up within 1 hour of the center opening. Any delivery delays caused by incorrect addresses, delivery changes, missed delivery attempts, or failure to be available will void the guarantee.

3. Carrier Delays: We are not responsible for carrier delays once the package is in the hands of the shipping carrier. Delays due to weather, mechanical issues, or carrier error are not covered under this guarantee.

4. Frag Handling: Do not remove the coral from its mount. If a frag becomes detached during shipping, please send clear photos of the coral inside the sealed bag within 1 hour of delivery.

 

If You Experience a Livestock Loss:

You must contact us within 5 days of delivery using the chat button at the bottom right of www.SaltCritters.com. Please include clear, non-blue photos of the coral in your tank and your order number. Do not discard the livestock until your claim is approved, as additional photos may be required. We respond to all claims within 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. 

Approved claims will be issued as store credit only. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Store credit has no cash value and may be used toward any future purchase.

SaltCritters reserves the right to void the livestock guarantee if we believe the aquarium conditions are unsuitable for maintaining healthy livestock, including but not limited to:  Improper temperature, Poor water quality, Incompatible tank mates, Inadequate lighting or flow, or Neglect.

Warranties are provided by the manufacture of each product for a limited and specific amount of time. At times SaltCritters.com may choose to extend the warranty of some products, but that is at the sole discretion of SaltCritters, LLC and its represented manufacturers. At no time will the extension of a warranty by SaltCritters, LLC provide return of currency or provide the purchaser any recourse other than what is stated by SaltCritters, LLC's decision, rendered final once the warranty course of action has been determined. In the event that a warranty action is decided by SaltCritters, LLC. is limited to replacement of non-working parts for repair or replacement of the specific item at the sole discretion of us.
