How to Acclimate Your New Critters?

Proper acclimation is required to maintain your livestock guarantee. Please follow these steps exactly.

Step 1: Temperature Acclimation

Place the sealed shipping bags directly into your aquarium for 30 minutes. Do not exceed or shorten this time. This allows the water in the bag to slowly match your tank’s temperature. Bags may sink — this is normal.

Step 2: Coral Dip

Remove the coral from the shipping bag and dip it using your preferred coral dip, following the manufacturer’s instructions. While we take every precaution to ship pest-free livestock, coral dips are always recommended.

Step 3: Rinse

Rinse the coral in clean aquarium water (not shipping water) before placing it in your tank.

Step 4: Placement

Carefully place the coral into your aquarium and enjoy!

Drip acclimation can be harmful to shipped corals and will void the livestock guarantee.
